Stellenbosch has fantastic gigs lined up for this week. This Saturday, locals will be treated to the semi-finals of the Aandklas Battle of the Bands, where the top bands from the Winelands and its surroundings will compete for the chance to play in the finals on 27 August.
Even if you can’t make it to Saturday’s Battle of the Bands, you won’t want to miss the rest of what’s happening this weekend. You can catch some incredible live performances at the Daisy Jones Bar and the Balboa Balcony Bar, including Shadowclub and Downtown Gypsies.
Also, perhaps for the first time ever, the week might be as exciting as the weekend! At The Meeting Place, you can catch live music, DJ sets, and even the venue’s renowned Bedroom Superstars open mic night — hosted by Karel Bester. On Thursday, Bohemia is back with its weekly band night, and on Friday, you can choose between Biggy’s bars at Die Mystic Boer and the soulful sounds of Zoë Modiga at Plaisir de Merle, and many more!
