Things are heating up this week in Stellenbosch! As the cold weather settles, there are some sizzling events on the horizon. Wednesday is perfect for a night out, with DJ Night at DORP and Midweek Fever at The Courtyard Café.
On Thursday, Saving Arthur and Keanan Eksteen will perform at Bohemia at their weekly band night. At the Meeting Place, Tyan Odendal and RT Palmer will be treating you to live music – the ideal setting to have a drink with some friends and listen to two great musicians.
On Friday evening, DORP will be hosting a ‘Halfway to St Patrick’s Day’ Celebration. So get ready to find your best green attire and experience the luck of the Irish! Jazz musician, Nduduzo Makhathni, will be blessing your ears this Friday at the Endler Hall with a Thanksgiving Ritual titled ‘Umgidi’.
Start your Saturday off right with the Home Brewers Oktoberfest at Lilypatrick Brewery – the first annual Home Brew Festival and Regional Championship, proudly brought to you by Helderberg, Wijnland and SouthYeasters Home Brew Clubs. At Aandklas, Set For The Sky will be performing alongside local favourites, Kontras, and this year’s Battle of the Bands winners, Prodical, for their Homecoming Rock Party. Gian Groen will also be performing at Nature’s Farmacy on Saturday evening.
To unwind on Sunday, Stellenbosch residents can go to the Dorp Street Sunday Market and listen to the best of Vinyl DJ Paulie. Ethan Florus, performing at the Balboa Balcony Bar, is the perfect way to end off your weekend with some amazing vocals.
