Stellenbosch, this week is the perfect week to de-stress and attend some great events! If you are looking to experience a little bit of everything, this is the week to do it. Wednesday kicks off with the ‘Do You Remember’ Disco Party at Dorp with the best disco tracks to get you moving and grooving.
On Thursday, The Lebowski and The Man Motels will perform at Bohemia at their weekly band night. Afrikaans singer-songwriter, Ricus Nel, will perform at Skillpadvlei on Thursday evening, and Roger Hopley will entertain you from 18:00 to 20:00 at The Meeting Place.
On Friday evening, The Courtyard Café will be hosting their weekly ‘Decompression Friday’ event with Afrohouse DJs all night long. Mystics will be hosting a Party Night to start the weekend off with a bang. The Meeting Place will also be hosting a DJ Night in their courtyard – the perfect excuse to leave your house during loadshedding!
This Saturday, Heritage Day is more jam-packed than ever. Starting off with Karel Bester at Koelenhof Winery for a morning of great vocals and wine. Later on Saturday afternoon, Aandklas will be hosting ‘Braai 4 Brakke’ featuring your favourite local bands and a bring-and-braai. As a bonus, all the proceeds from this event will go to the Stellenbosch Animal Welfare – there is no better way to spend your Braai Day. The Daisy Jones Bar is presenting ‘Holy Smokes’ – a Heritage Day event featuring Hellcats, Amor Amor and Devin Harmer.
On Sunday, Stellenbosch locals can unwind at Bontevlei Farm for the Annandale Wine Festival. The Dorp Street Market will be in full swing with Vinyl DJ Paulie providing the best of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. At Balboa Balcony Bar, you can experience an evening of great live music with Ethan Florus.
