Yoga at the Rupert Museum
Yoga is an ancient practice focused on bringing the mind and body together[i] through controlled movements performed in a sequence, often referred to as a flow. It can therefore have a positive impact on both your mental health as well as contributing to daily exercise.
The Rupert Museum is introducing yoga sessions in their MakerStudio every Thursday afternoon from one o’clock until two o’clock. This is a free offering with mats provided, although you can bring your own. Click here to book your spot (bookings are essential).
Hiking with the Hike Together WC group
The Hike Together WC group is an informal group created in Stellenbosch for individuals who want to go hiking but do not want to do it alone – specifically for safety reasons. They undertake all kinds of hikes in Stellenbosch. The group is free to join, however booking is essential and all relevant hiking costs are payable, as well as a contribution to refreshments.
For more information, follow them on Instagram @hike_together_wc, where you can reach out to join the group and receive information on all upcoming hikes.
Run with the Stellies Shake Out Crew
Stellies Shake Out is an organized group in Stellenbosch that runs together at different free venues. They welcome all fitness levels, with the running scheduled to accommodate three different paces. The running usually occurs on a Thursday from six pm and will last for an hour, with there being the option of three different distances to complete.
